June offer: 4-channel seismic cable + four top-quality vertical geophones for MAAM technique (and much more) + AREA51 device

4-CHANNEL SEISMIC CABLE
ideal for MAAM (Miniature Array Analysis of Microtremors) acquisitions, a sort of mini-ESAC (passive seismics) and very useful for many other active and passive applications (such as ESAC, etc.). For example, if you already have a 12-channel seismic cable and would like to increase your possibilities by having all the advantages that a 4-channel cable offers, this is your chance.
Specifications: 3m spacing, NK2721C connector, split clip take out.

MAAM technique: the 4-ch cable can be easily carried as in the following picture
(see the cable and the AREA51 device together with the backpack containing the rest of the seismic equipment)

or you can use it for ESAC acquisitions (together with your 12-ch seismic cable) as in the following scheme

FOUR 4.5 Hz VERTICAL GEOPHONES Eliosoft - Geospace Technologies
top quality, high sensitivity [89,4 V/m/s], Split Spring (single clip) connectors, specifically tested for MAAM acquisitions, but certainly suitable for any other technique (MASW, ESAC, SPAC, ReMi, etc.)

AREA51 device (rugged version)
device for the rapid and accurate positioning of geophones according to a triangular geometry for the MAAM technique (see pictures)

What is MAAM? It is a kind of mini ESAC (so we are dealing with multi-channel passive seismics) which requires very little space and specifically tested vertical geophones (4 or 6 vertical geophones for triangular or pentagonal arrays respectively).
This technique is ideal (and often providential) for acquisitions in urban areas and in any situation where site characteristics (limited available room, etc.) make impossible to apply other methodologies.

The following picture shows an example of an application where the very small garden around the investigated building made necessary to adopt the MAAM + HVSR approach.

HoliSurface® is also: joint analysis of HVSR and Rayleigh-wave dispersion (phase velocities) obtained from MAAM.
